Tightly-fought clash goes Sheffield’s way

THE Wild Academy Under 16 team lost 2-1 away to Sheffield

Under 16s on Sunday.

The hosts took the lead after just two minutes but Cody Ogden equalised for the Wild midway through the second period.

This was a very close game throughout, played between two very well matched teams.

The decisive breakthrough came on 36 minutes when Sheffield scored what would turn out to be the winning goal.

The Wild Academy U14 team are at home to Billingham this Saturday 5th March at Planet Ice Widnes 3.20pm face off.

Straight after that, the Under 12 team are at home to Kingston (Hull) 4.50pm face off.

The Academy U16 team are away at Solihull on Sunday 6th March - 7.10pm face off.

The Wild Academy U10 team are taking part in a 4 – team cross ice tournament away in Altrincham on Sunday where they will take on teams from Bradford, Telford & Manchester Storm - 4.20pm start.
