Dyeing tonight! David’s offer for a worthy cause

-

A WIDNES dad has stepped into the unknown with an offer to dye his hair any colour as chosen by a member of the public to raise charity funds and awareness in memory of his great grandmother.

David Hyland, 30, will keep the chosen tone or pattern for 30 days as picked by whoever donates the largest sum.

Funds raised will be given to the Alzheimer’s Society, which David is keen to support and raise awareness for as his great grandmother Jane Warrener, now deceased, suffered dementia.

On his justgiving.com appeal page, he wrote: “I’m choosing to do the dye-your-hair-for-30 days, and whoever donates the most will get to choose the colour I dye it.

“I’m doing it because my great nan suffered from dementia and I want to raise money for this charity “Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.

“Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.”
