Man, 29, arrested by cops after street robbery
POLICE have arrested a suspect as part of an investigation into a street robbery in Runcorn.
Cheshire Constabulary said officers were called to Grangeway at around 12.45pm on Friday, March 4, after reports two muggers had approached a man and stolen his phone.
A force spokeswoman said the victim suffered minor injuries during the incident.
The robbers were both male.
Investigators have arrested a 29-year-old man from Liverpool as part of the probe.
He has since been released on conditional bail.
Writing on social media, the complainant said he had suffered a sore head and ribs and ‘a few cuts,’ and he thanked two people who came to his aid. He said the robbery happened outside St Chad’s Catholic and Church of England High School.
