New look for opticians is unveiled

A WIDNES opticians has undergone a £150,000 makeover.

Specsavers on Albert Road said the refurbishment will allow more services to be provided plus contact lens appointments than ever before.

The store expanded its number of testing rooms from three to four with one including a sound booth as part of the works.

A spokeswoman for the company said demand has grown for audiology services and testing will now increase from three to four days a week.

Ophthalmic testing equipment has also been installed to aid eye examinations.

Revamped flooring, ceiling and lighting has been installed with the aim of creating a brighter and more welcoming environment.

Mark Levi, Specsavers Widnes store director said: “The completion of the refit marks a proud milestone for our team and has only been made possible by the support of the Widnes community over the years.

“With increased appointments and improved technology, we’re really proud of the changes that we’ve made and we’re confident that our customers will see the real benefits too.”
