Smoke inhalation treatment after fire
A HOUSEHOLDER was treated for smoke inhalation after a kitchen blaze involving a pan of food in Widnes.
Firefighters were called to Balmoral Road at 9.26pm on Tuesday, April 19.
A pan of food on a hob was alight.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) said three appliances from Runcorn, Widnes and Penketh attended.
Crews extinguished the flames and used a large fan to clear smoke.
A CFRS spokesperson said: “The occupant was treated for smoke inhalation by firefighters before being handed into the care of paramedics.” The North West Ambulance Service said the patient was taken to hospital.
