Darlene takes Under Sheriff role for county

DARLENE Storrar (nee Mason-Lee) has been appointed as the Under Sheriff for Cheshire in a ceremony at St Boniface Church in Bunbury.

Darlene was born in Chester and educated at the Chester City High School for Girls (now Queen’s Park High) and then, following her parents’ move to Tarporley, educated at Nantwich and Acton County Grammar School (now Malbank).

Having attended Queen Mary College, University of London in 1975 where Darlene read economics, she then transferre­d to Liverpool University where she obtained a degree in law with honours in 1979.

Darlene qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and has practised in Chester ever since, and she is the managing partner at Storrar Cowdry Solicitors in White Friars, Chester.

In 2008, Darlene was chairman of The Lady Taverner’s Charity for Cheshire and North Wales Region, President of the Cheshire & North Wales Law Society in 2014 and won the Cheshire & North Wales Law Society’s Lifetime Achievemen­t Award in 2016.

Darlene is married with three children and four grandchild­ren and her hobbies are oil painting, reading and walking.
