THE GOVERNMENT’S MORAL COMPASS IS TOTALLY BROKEN

- Mike Baldwin Bernie Hunt

of electoral probity: Belarus.

The last time the United Kingdom had a government elected by a majority of voters, was 1935.

We deserve better than this.

We deserve a government voted in by the majority, trusted by the majority, working for the needs of the majority. We need Proportional Representation.

JUST how out of touch with everyday life is this government and its ministers?

The latest advice from the environment secretary, George ‘Useless’ Eustice, is for people to buy ‘own brand products.’

I must admit, I don’t know any food banks that sell ‘own brand products’!

After more than a decade of Conservative governments their biggest growth ‘industry’ is food banks.

Perhaps if the government were to concentrate a little on chasing those who were given lucrative ‘VIP PPE contracts’ and didn’t supply goods ‘fit for purpose’, they might be able to reinstate the £20 to those on low fixed incomes that they stopped recently.

If they add in a refund from billions spent on the useless ‘track and trace system’ they could also raise the national pension to help prevent the reality of pensioners having to ride around on buses all day because they can’t afford to heat their homes.

Something needs to be done, and quickly, because this government’s ‘moral compass’ is well and truly broke and they just don’t care.
