PAUL Batty gave the Stute an early lead and further wins from Glen Owen and Andy Abbott booked their place in the quarter finals.

BALL C V WIDNES BOWLING CLUB (A) A

MATT Drury (180) put the Bowling Club (A) A in front and the game was soon up for the Ball C with Dave Gerrard and Rob Magee winning the remaining games for the Bowler.

BALL A V MILL BROW SC B

MARC Jones put the Brow in front only see the Ball level the match through Karl Whitfield. Anthony Hall won the deciding leg for the Ball A and they booked their place in the last eight.

WIDNES BOWLING CLUB (B) B V SIMM’S CROSS INST. (B) D

ROBBIE Gorst (16 darts) put the Bowler ahead before Colin Rigby made the game safe. Terry Roach made it three for the Bowler as they made the next stage.

MILLFIELD (B) A V SIMM’S CROSS INST (A) B

THE Stute went ahead with a win from Ray Dutton only for Ian Wall to level the scores. Dave Evans won the decider for the Stute who progressed to the last eight.

BALL B V SIMM’S CROSS INST. (B) B

ANTON Conroy put the Ball ahead and they made it two with a win from Rob Williams. Jordan Davies made it a full house as the Ball B made the quarter finals.

MILL BROW SC A V MILLFIELD (B) C

THE Brow went ahead through John Dermody and the game was up for the Milly C after Lee Price made it two. Peter Fisher added a third as the Mill Brow made the next round.

WIDNES BOWLING CLUB (B) A V THE PREMIER C

THE Bowler ran out comfortabl­e winners by a 3-0 scoreline. Alan Magee took the first game and was followed by Kev Garcia and John Bowles.

MATT Drury gave the Bowler the lead but the advantage was cancelled out with a win from Glen Owen (19 darts). Andy Abbott booked the Stute’s place in the semi finals with a

deciding game victory.

THE Bowling Club went ahead through Robbie Gorst (16 darts & 180) but the Ball hit back through Karl Whitfield. Terry Roach came good in the decider as the Bowler made the last four .

SIMM’S CROSS INST (A) B V BALL B

RAY Dutton put the Stute in front and the match was settled as Tony Green made it two.

Karl Windisch pulled a game back for the Ball but it was the Stute going to the semi finals.

KEV Garcia (16 darts) put the Bowler ahead before Lee Price sent the contest to a deciding leg. John Bowles (17 darts) booked the Bowler’s place in the last four.

THE Milly proved too strong for the Brow and they eased into the next round with a 3-0 win. Adam Mellor took the

501, Ian Wall the RTB and Alan Sutton the 301 contests.

MIKE Ruane put the Brow ahead and with a 13 dart RTB leg, Paul Woodward secured the win. John McWhinnie (17 darts) took the 301 in a 3-0 victory.

TERRY Roach put the Bowler ahead but the match was taken to a deciding game when Duane Lawton won the RTB matchup. In a tight game it was Robbie Gorst who sent the Bowler through.

MILLFIELD (B) A V HOUGH GREEN SC C

THE Milly led through Tony Jackson (18 darts) and with a 14 dart RTB leg, Joe Kelly put his team into the next round. Michael Howard made it three in the 301 leg.

CRICKETER’S ARMS A V WIDNES BOWLING CLUB (B) C

CALLUM Ward put the Bowler ahead in the 501 and the match was over when Joe

Price made it two. Mike Callaghan made it three as the Bowler make the first round.

AT SIMM’S CROSS INST. PRELIMS MILLFIELD (B) C V MILL BROW SC C

JACK Kelly took the 501 leg for the Milly only for Kev Helps make it one each going into the deciding leg. John Taylor won the 301 to put the Milly through to round one.

WIDNES CRICKET CLUB (B) V CRICKETER’S ARMS A B

THE Cricketer’s Arms went ahead through Kev Langford but the Cricket Club levelled proceeding­s with a win from Kev Baxter. Leggies made sure of the next round with Tony Langford winning the decider.

WIDNES BOWLING CLUB (B) A V HOUGH GREEN SC B

THE Bowler went one up through John Bowles and with a win from Kenny Murphy they made the first round. Alan Magee took the last for the winners in a comfortabl­e victory.

KARL Windisch (17 darts) put the Ball in a strong position by taking the opener. Glen Owen made the match all square and it was the Stute who progressed with a deciding leg win from Bri Dutton.

HOUGH GREEN SC D V SIMM’S CROSS INST (A) B

TONY Green (19 darts) gave the Stute the first game and Ray Dutton followed in the RTB to give themselves an unassailab­le lead. Ian Woodward completed the job as the Stute ran out three games to nil winners.
