Stars turn out for this year’s Deva Festival

DEVA Fest organisers have announced the Cheshire festival’s ‘best line-up yet’ after The Coral, Human League and Ocean Colour Scene were revealed as this year’s headline acts.

The family-friendly festival returns to Cholmondel­ey Castle between August 8 and 11.

Now in its fourth year, organisers are once again promising festival goers another jam-packed weekend full of music, food and entertainm­ent for the whole family.

In 2023, a whopping 15,000 visitors were welcomed over the course of the three-day weekend event.

The unmistakab­le indie sounds of The Coral whose hits include Pass it On and Dreaming of You - will bring this year’s Friday line-up to a close following performanc­es from rising country pop star Harleymoon Kemp, electronic duo Utah Saints and Symphonic Ibiza.

Saturday will showcase scores of pop classics with the tribute band Oasis Ltd and The Amy Winehouse Band.

Boy band East-17 will bring the 90s’ tunes back and X-Factor star Rebecca Ferguson will be performing her smash hits before the much-loved Human League end the night with iconic 80s’ anthems Don’t You Want Me, Together in

Electric

Human.

Festival favourites Foo Fighterz return on Sunday, as well as a performanc­e from award-winning blues duo When Rivers Meet.

Britpop legends Sleeper will play, along with punk princess Toyah Willcox and husband Robert Fripp before Ocean Colour Scene bring the festival to a close with big hits such as The Day we Caught the Train, The Riverboat Song, and Hundred-Mile-High City.

The Sensus Dance stage will return for those wanting to make shapes, along with the Deva Laughs comedy club showcasing the best in national and local talent.

This year Deva Fest is introducin­g a fourth night to the festival on Thursday, August 8.

This is a new addition allowing campers to arrive early to the festival, with performanc­es on the Heart and Soul Stage, including singer and songwriter Tom Speight.

“After the huge success last year, we didn’t think we’d be able to top it, but we’re confident this is our best line-up yet.

and returning to the festival for the fourth time.

“Deva Fest aims to bring you a festival that has top quality musicians and comedians, fantastic street food and drink from local vendors, and entertainm­ent the whole family can enjoy together.

“Our free-to-ride fairground is returning once again, as is the Sailor’s Rest with a residency from popular sea shanty band Old Time Sailors, and there’s a wider range of ticket and payment options available to make the festival even more accessible to all.”

This year sees the introducti­on of the Family One ticket, providing families with one child a better discount on individual ticket prices.

Single night camping tickets, as well as day, weekend, and a range of camping options, are available to purchase, with guests being able to secure any package for £50, paying the balance off in instalment­s.

Tickethold­ers will be able to access shuttle buses from nearby towns, including Ellesmere Port, Chester, Wrexham, Rossett, Gresford, Tarporley, Tattenhall and Holt.

On-site parking offered all weekend those travelling to venue by car.

More artists are yet to be announced to the lineup, as well as some brandnew festival features for 2024.

Day tickets are now on sale with the option to purchase weekend camping and glamping tickets.
