Mark of disapproval Tattoos could affect your running, says a new study. It found that tattooed skin produces less but saltier sweat than unadorned skin. This could result in inked runners having higher core temperatures and an electrolyte imbalance. The good news is that the body can compensate for areas that do not sweat properly. Dermatologist Robin Travers speculates that it would probably not be until half the body was tattooed that running performance would suffer.
