Think of this race as the British equivalent of the Everest Marathon – you get the thrill of doing an event in the shadow of the mountain itself without ever having to really leave base camp. The outrageously gorgeous (but, at the same time, very challenging) route encircles the highest peak in England and Wales, but you won’t get anywhere near the top.
