Runner's World (UK) - - Human Race -

I really enjoyed your article on diversity ( Is Running Too White?,

RW, August). I was pleased you looked at some of the ambassadors in the UK who promote and support people from diverse and minority groups to be included in running. American Rahaf Khatib is one of my role models, as I too am a Muslim, hijab-wearing runner. I just felt disappointed to read the line, ‘Here in the UK we’re still waiting for such a character to emerge...’. I felt the writer had not done their research because there are a growing number of hijabi runners, like me, who are working tirelessly to encourage more Muslim women to break free from barriers that restrict them from joining the running community.
