ALIVE AND TICKING

Runner's World (UK) - - Human Race -

I had a quintuple bypass three years ago. I am now 50, relatively fit and am almost calling myself a runner. I want others to know you can recover and enjoy running after such an operation. I have run two half marathons, with two more coming up. My aim is to run a full marathon next year. I have inspired many others to run and raised money for charity, but when I see what others are doing I feel I have a duty to do what I can while I can. Your articles have helped to motivate me and direct me towards healthy choices. Steve Borys, Glasgow
