CLEANING CLOBBER
A PLOGGER’S KIT CHECK
Running clothes
Wear whatever you would wear on a run: ideally a sweat-wicking T-shirt, shorts or tights and running socks.
Suitable trainers
I opted for trail shoes, due to the offroad, parkbased nature of my plog. If you’re taking to the streets, wear whatever shoes you prefer for 5-10K outings.
Plastic gloves
They will help protect your hands from… lots of stuff. Even so, be sure to thoroughly wash your hands post-plog.
Litter picker
If you’re plogging with a group, check beforehand that these are supplied. Otherwise, litter pickers can be bought online for about £10.
Bin bag
The thicker the better, to withstand the rigours of running and potentially sharp objects.
