GET KIDS RUNNING
Having just read your article Born to
Run ( RW, Sept), I agree how difficult it can be to engage teenagers in what can be seen as a solitary sport. I work in a secondary school and last year we arranged a mud run for our year 11s, a whole-school Pole-to-pole challenge (covering the distance between the poles by running/walking on our school
field). And we were delighted to field a team of 310 students and staff to run the Worthing Race for Life in June. I’m lucky to work in such a forward-thinking school and would love to get our story out there to encourage others to do the same
