Whatever distance you’re targeting, following a wellstructured plan will not only help you to steadily improve, it will also help you maintain motivation throughout the weeks and months of training.
TAKE CARE
Listen to your body and don’t run through injury. But if you do pick up a niggle? Rest, recover and, if necessary, consult a health professional such as a physiotherapist or a chiropractor.
DO THE SPLITS
Whatever distance you’re running, work out how quickly you will need to run each mile in order to hit your target time. Give yourself at least 30 seconds’ leeway... then run like the wind!
