BRIGHT BEDROOM, DARK MOOD

-

Runners know all about the importance of a good night’s sleep when it comes to race-day performance. But there’s another reason to create the right environment for some quality shut-eye: too much light at night may double your risk of depression, according to a new study. 1 Bedroom light levels that are roughly equivalent to mid-twilight or brighter are deemed too much for a quality night’s sleep. Study co-author Kenji Obayashi says the light may cause sleep disturbances and throw off the body’s internal clock.
