The Wiltshire 10

A lovely low-key jaunt through middle England; perfect if you’re training for a spring marathon

CHALLENGING AND CHEEKY

‘Good run that will have been a test for those like me who aren’t experienced – some of the undulations were quite long and cheeky. A small enough field not to need start pens.’ – STRAY CELT

FULL OF CHARM

‘Fairly quick run. Well-organised and pleasantly rural course run through nice countryside and villages. Nice, friendly marshals and good route.’ – JUSTIN HAINES

HOLD YOUR WATER

‘Not enough toilets, HQ is in a pub so the loos (for 500 runners, plus family, friends and pub-goers) are rammed from at least 45 mins before race – more facilities are needed.’ – BRIAN JEFFERY

FIRST THINGS FIRST

‘Nice introduction to a 10-mile race for a first-timer. Cheery marshals who were well placed on a well-marked course. Only criticism was lack of directional signs as to where the event was upon entering the town.’ – KINGJUKE

SOUND ADVICE

‘The course is very fast; I just missed out on a PB by nine seconds. I also noticed in the results that two runners were disqualified for using music players. First race I’ve been at where I’ve seen this actioned.’ – MIKE 59
