Serves 1 Cubing raw fish rather than cooking it will give you a different taste and texture to savour. It’s worth the effort – oily varieties are linked to better brain function, mood and skin. ¼ avocado, cubed

50g raw salmon, cubed

1 spring onion, sliced

Juice of ½ lime

½ tsp sesame seeds

Coriander

Salt and black pepper

1 soft taco shell

1. Place everything in a bowl (except the taco shell, of course) and stir well.

2. Scoop onto the taco, then top with extra coriander and a squeeze of lime juice, if you’re feeling fresh.

2. Zingy cabbage and avocado

Serves 1 This fibre-rich vegan offering delivers a serious antioxidan­t hit, thanks to the anthocyani­ns in the purple cabbage. Plus, both the purple and green kind contain cancer-protecting compounds called glucosinol­ates. 1 tbsp salsa

1 soft taco shell Small handful each of shredded purple cabbage and green cabbage

1 jalapeño, sliced

A few slices of avocado

½ tsp sesame seeds

Coriander, to garnish

Squeeze of lime juice

1. Spread the salsa over the taco base, then top with the cabbage, jalapeño and avocado.

2. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and coriander leaves and finish with a squeeze of lime juice.

3. Chicken and black bean

This is rich in protein and fibre to promote muscle growth and repair – ideal postrun food. The black beans will do wonders for your digestion, too. ¼ avocado, mashed ½ garlic clove, finely chopped Juice of ¼ lime Salt and black pepper 1 soft taco shell ¼ cooked chicken breast, sliced 1 tbsp black beans ½ handful shredded purple cabbage

Couple of red onion slices

1 jalapeño, sliced

1. Mix the avocado, garlic, lime juice and seasoning to make guacamole, then load the mixture onto your taco.

2. Top with the rest of the ingredient­s and dig in.

4. Chocolate, banana and strawberry

With high-fibre strawberri­es and banana, and monounsatu­rated fats from the nuts, this dessert will balance blood sugar levels and keep hunger at bay. 1 tbsp chocolate almond nut butter 1 soft taco shell

½ banana, sliced

4 strawberri­es, sliced

Flaked almonds, to sprinkle

1. Spread the nut butter on the taco. Layer with banana and strawberry slices, then sprinkle with almond flakes. Let your taste buds sing.
