Runner's World (UK)

WE HAVE TRAILS HERE, TOO

-

‘Yippee,’ I thought as I opened the most recent Runner’s World, excited by the promise on the front cover of the ‘UK’s Most Beautiful Trail Runs’. Living in Northern Ireland, it felt nice to be included in the article, as we don’t often get a mention. But I was disappointed. Although the front cover promised UK runs, and the article inside included an outline of the Northern Ireland map, not one run here was referenced. The UK includes England, Scotland, Wales AND Northern Ireland. Either include us please or correctly label your articles to say GB. In Northern Ireland, we have such a wealth of stunning locations in which to run. We really don’t mind sharing these with others. Here is just one example of a beautiful local trail, taken along the beach close to Newcastle from Murlough

Nature Reserve.

A good point, well made, Marguerite. In our next UK race round-up, we’ll be certain to include events in Northern Ireland. As your picture indicates, there is an abundance of beautiful scenery to be enjoyed.
