Runner's World (UK)

SIMPLY THE BEST

-

In my opinion, the current issue of

RW is the best for many years. I say this as not only a long-time subscriber but also as someone who subscribed to Running for many years in the 1980s. In the current RW, I have particularly benefited from The Race to Build the World’s Fastest Shoe, as it explains in layman’s terms what’s inside running shoes, focusing on the midsole and the various foams that shoe companies are using. After years of uncertainty, I finally understand clearly this important subject. Having read the excellent Shoe Guide 2020, also in this month’s RW, I am now leaning heavily towards the New Balance 1080 V10; such a different shoe to the New Balance 575 that I ran in as a regular club runner with Exeter Harriers in the early 1980s. Keep up the good work, RW.
