The lockdown has played havoc with the race schedule. RW talks to two race directors with different experience­s of event cancellati­ons

THE POSTPONEME­NT OF the London Marathon and other major events grabbed most of the race-related headlines recently, but the thousands of avid amateur runners across the country were keenly aware there was a lot more going on in the race calendar. Race organisers have been franticall­y trying to reorganise and reschedule their events while keeping their heads above water – and they have been taking a number of approaches to do so.
