WORDS TO GIVE YOU WINGS

-

‘Anyone who takes himself too seriously always runs the risk of looking

ridiculous; anyone who can

consistently laugh at himself

does not.’

The words of Czech statesman

Václav Havel truly sum up the joy of running in fancy-dress or fun and funky kit – it removes the pressure to perform that many runners

think is a compulsory part of running and that stops them from taking up our joyous sport. Your fancy outfit needn’t slow you down (my sheep hat is pretty aerodynamic, actually), but it most definitely will cheer you, and others, up.
