Jo’s tip: hit the beach
The beach is a good place for an interval session – the extra effort provides a great strength workout and a tough aerobic session, too. Try these two beach workouts:
10-min warm-up on firm sand
8x90 secs brisk/fast on softer sand, with one-minute recoveries
10-min cool-down on firm sand
10-min warm-up on firm sand
10x45 secs running up a sand dune, with slow jog-back recovery
10-min cool-down on firm sand
