Ordinary Athlete
WHAT: Inspiring and motivational leisure and performance wear | FROM: £22 ordinaryathlete.co.uk
FRIENDS Matt Whyatt and Charlie Webster set up Ordinary Athlete in October last year to create affordable technical T-shirts, alongside a range of sustainable, organic leisurewear. The company runs a weekly feature on its social-media pages called ‘Extraordinaries’ to salute people who have overcome adversity to achieve their goals. ‘We wanted to create a brand that people can relate to and feel inspired by,’ says Charlie. ‘Running benefits our mental health by giving us strength, confidence and self-worth. Our aim is to encourage people to be proud of the steps they are taking and love themselves for it. We’re inspired by the journey, not the end game, and think that in being ordinary, you find your extraordinary.’ •
