Kirkhill Lawn Tennis Club presents its first championship prizes in a decade
Kirkhill Tennis Club held their first finals day in almost a decade at the end of last month.
It took place on Saturday, August 30, with coach Stewart Clark taking up the role of tournament referee.
The results for the highly successful day are as follows.
Ladies singles winner was Amanda Hart (41), and the runner-up was Catherine House.
Ladies doubles winners were Amanda Hart and Jacqueline Clark (41) with runners-up Lorna Morrison and Catherine House.
Gents singles winner was Gerry Kelly (53) with runner-up David Walker (45)
Gents doubles winners were Gerry Kelly (53) and son Joe Kelly (15) with runners-up David Walker (45) with son Ben Walker (15)
Amanda Hart and Gerry Kelly won the mixed doubles while the under-14s winner was Luke McGunnigle (14) with runner-up Ryan McGunnigle (12).
The under-10 winner was Ben Walker (8) and runner-up Callum Hepworth (10).
In other club news, coach Stuart Clark has started a coaching programme for juniors and ladies.
The club are also celebrating their centenary next year and are looking for any past or present members with old photos or memorabilia to get in contact.
