Rutherglen Reformer

Your notes of thanks

-

I am writing to thank the people of Rutherglen, Cambuslang and Croftfoot, for their support of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.

We visited Rutherglen in November, and Cambuslang and Croftfoot in December, and we were taken aback by just how many people wanted to come along and make a donation.

At this time of year when people are so busy, it’s just fantastic to see so many taking time to really make a difference to others.

We are especially delighted to welcome along our new young donors from the secondary schools in the area, with Trinity High and Cathkin High having featured in the Reformer.

I would also like to thank the Rutherglen Reformer too, for its ongoing support of the work of the service.

Every week the Reformer carries mentions of our forthcoming visits to the Rutherglen, Cambuslang and Croftfoot areas, and we very much appreciate your good work in highlighting these sessions.

I would also like to thank your staff who have been able to give blood as well, as every unit goes towards saving a life. Janey Grier, Donor Recruitment and Publicity Officer, Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service. The Christmas Fair at Calderwood Primary School was another outstanding success.

We were delighted to make a profit of £6103. I would like to thank the Parent Council for their incredible support of the school. Lisa Quinn, Head teacher, Calderwood Primary. Overton Tenents and Residents Asscociation would like to thank the Co-op for all their help with donations to help with our kids Christmas event and raffle prizes for our senior dinner. Also, Joe Nelson ,who helped with both these events, and donations from Morrison’s and Asda and all other local shops. Barbara Parkes.
