The Friends of Cambuslang Park have revealed their schedule for 2015.

They have a wide and varied programme of events lined up for 2015, with the return of many old favourites, and some new ones too.

This year there Back in Time will be replaced by the Cambuslang Heritage Group Exhibition on May 16. The group is a sub group of the Friends of Cambuslang Park.

The first event will take place tonight (Wednesday, April 22), with the Friends’ AGM at the Cambuslang Institute, at 7.30pm.

Their next one takes place this Saturday, April 25, with those interested invited to meet at the park’s Cairns Road entrance.

Visitors can join the South Lanarkshir­e rangers at Cambuslang Park for this dropin, self-led event for quizzes, activities and scavenger hunts anytime between 11am– 2pm.

A spokesman said: “There is no need to book, this is a fun drop in event. Please dress for the weather with appropriat­e footwear.

“If you require any more informatio­n please contact the Ranger service on 01355 236644.” The schedule for the rest of this year is:

spring clean up and planting, 2-4pm, Cairns Road entrance.

Cambuslang Heritage Group Exhibition, 1– 5pm, Cambuslang Institute, Greenlees Road,

bring your bike – Bike Town, 2pm, Cairns Road entrance.

Teddy Bears picnic, 10.30am, Cairns Road entrance.

family fun day, 1–5pm, Cairns Road entrance.

Bark in the Park, 1.30pm, Cairns Road entrance.

autumn clean up and planting, 2– 4pm, Cairns Road entrance. Ghost Hunt (to be confirmed).

Halloween event, 2-4pm, Cambuslang Parish Church Kirkhill hall, Cairns Road.

carol singing, 4pm, Cairns Road entrance.
