Little school of horrors!

Stonelaw High School hit the high notes again in this year’s musical production - Little Shop of Horrors.

In the past, these events have been a resounding success through such shows as We Will Rock You, Back To The 80s and Rent.

Due to high demand, the dynamic duo of the music and drama departments came together again to put on a spellbinding and mesmerising production of a well-known classic.

The story follows flower shop assistant Seymour as he tries to catch the attention of Audrey; his one true love. One of his ideas to winheroverisnaminghisnewand obscure plant after her: Audrey II. This strange plant at first attracts a lot of attention, however when Seymour discovers it feeds on bloodhemustfindawaytosustain this bloodthirsty plant.

A truly whole school event, the cast ranged from S1 to S6 showcasing the diverse creative talents (both on and off stage) within Stonelaw. This coupled along with the great production (including four huge Audrey II plants) ensured that Little Shop was a huge success.

The main characters were Seymour – David Aitken; Voice of Audrey 2 – Leila Collie; Audrey 2 – Graeme Mathie / Mr Smith; Audrey – Taylor Aitken; Crystal, Ronette, Chiffon- Eilidh Smith, Hazel Douglas, Alex Smith; Mr Mushnik – Ross Cowan; Orin Scrivello ( Dentist) – Mark McKigen.
