Cambuslang and Rutherglen Area Committee have approved the following community grant applicatio­ns.

Sunshine Senior Citizens’ Lunch Club, £ 200 for an outing.

Lochbrae Social Committee, £ 200 for an outing.

Cambuslang Handicappe­d Fund, £ 700 for specialist transport, entrance fees and equipment.

North Halfway Senior Citizens’ Club, Cambuslang, £ 500 for an outing, administra­tion costs and equipment.

Flemington Hallside Gardening Group, £400 for equipment and materials.

Flemington Hallside Church Youth Project, £200 for an outing.

Cathkin Pensioners’ Associatio­n, Rutherglen, £200 for an outing.

Rutherglen Old Peoples’ Welfare Committee, £123 for an outing.

Lanarkshir­e Beekeepers’ Associatio­n, £250 for startup costs.

Cambuslang Churches Holiday Club, £ 150 for an outing.

Scotland Malayalee Associatio­n, £ 800 for admin, publicity costs and materials.

The latest batch of grant awards means the committee has dished out £12,298 of its £45,000 for the financial year so far.

Grant applicatio­n grants are invited throughout the year. Applicatio­ns must be supported by a constituti­on, audited accounts or annual income and expenditur­e accounts, a bank statement and confirmati­on that the group/ organisati­on will adhere to the conditions of the grant award.
