Shona has still two more tracks to release in her project

-

Motherwell musician Shona Brown is closing in on completing her ambitious 10 in10 project – which has seen her release a new track on a monthly basis.

Shona released the latest of her project on June 10, and has two more tracks to release before completing her plan.

She maintained the schedule with the release of her track Time for Everything, which features her choir the SoundRoutes Singers. And she admits it has been a busy time for her, but still has big plans for the next few months.

Shona said:“Things have been very busy here. I’ve been working very hard to get the material written in time for release each month.

“I’ve had a lot of people joining my mailing list or writing to me to tell me they like the music.

“I also run community choirs through my organisation SoundRoutes and I’m going to be including 100 or so singers form the choirs in my June release.”

The singer-songwriter, who takes influence from Sigur Ros, has recently appeared on STV’s Riverside Show. She takes to the stage alone, but during her live performances loops flute and vocal sounds.

Shona has worked with Mogwai, Barbara Thompson, Eddie McGuire and Cora Bissett amongst others. She will appear at the Kirkintilloch Music Festival in August.

Shona will also release the ninth track in the 10 in10 project on July 10.
