May holiday festival at Strathclyde Park
After the huge success of last year’s event, Stereofunk returns to Strathclyde Park.
One of the first festival’s of the summer is here and we’ve teamed up with the organisers to bring you yet another great competition. We have two pairs of VIP tickets to give away to the festival. Over 100 DJs and 12 live bands will perform across six arenas and will include a live broadcast on Groove City Radio. Stereofunk welcomes one of the most successful Scottish mainstream dance bands for their first gig of 2016 – The Time Frequency. Taking to the stage will be The Lafontaines from Motherwell. Their style is a unique blend of hip hop, rock and pop. The band are named after American voice actor Don LaFontaine.
Also performing is Scottish singer songwriter Gerry Cinnamon. His infamous live shows are a mixture of beat-up acoustic guitars, soulful harmonica and heartfelt vocals.
Anthemic, sing-along tracks, laced with social commentary seem to capture the imagination of the crowd. Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 are the shiny disco-ball hat-wearing, ultimate genre-hopping, live stage machine that puts the emphasis on music and laughter.
They are a party at its most outrageous and ridiculous. Always expect the unexpected when the Dijon 5 come to town. Sounds crazy? Well they are! These guys were born for Stereofunk.
Support acts include Kelvin, Single By Sunday, The Moonkids, Callum Frame, 100 Fables, Robbi Mcfaulds, Dillinger, Velocites, Irryan, Gary Digan and DJ Gary Mckeating.
The Terrace (EDM Outdoor Stage) welcomes a whole host of others who guarantee to have the floors filled with the help of DJ George Bowie.
The Stereofunk Festival will be held on Sunday, May 1, from noon to 10.30pm at Strathclyde Park.
Tickets start from £30/ VIPs from £45 and super VIPs are £55.
