Fernhill pupils have a blast at fun day
Fernhill School recently held a popular fun day - although some teachers found themselves getting an icy surprise.
The event saw plenty of events and things to do for pupils and parents alike, with a tasty BBQ proving a hit.
However the most popular event on the day was the ice bucket challenge, where youngsters paid for the chance to soak their favourite (or least favourite) member of staff
Among the many attractions on offer were bouncy castles, an inflatable slide, merry-goround, face painting, nail bar, glitter tattoos and plenty of ice cream to eat for good measure.
Dr Laura Murphy, Head Teacher of Fernhill School, was pleased with how the day had gone.
She told the Reformer: “Once again the pupils, parents and friends of Fernhill School, past and present, have demonstrated the friendships and sense of community that permeates our school.
“The water challenge undertaken by the staff was a true reflection of the fact that on this day, when we come together as a family, we are all prepared to participate in any way we can to ensure everyone has a great day out.
“We look forward with excitement to next years’ event and anticipate it will be bigger and better than ever.
“Fernhill School would like to thank their PTA and their generous sponsors for their help in making the day a great success.”
