Elementary, my dear pupils

Hallside pupils were channelling their inner Sherlock Holmes and showing off some budding detective skills 30 years ago.

They were helping Rutherglen’s community involvement police track down a‘criminal’involved in a mock theft at Halfway Library.

The youngsters had to give evidence, identify the suspect in an ID parade and then learn about fingerprint tracing.

In the end the youngsters did their job and nabbed the crook.
