District governor sets out his goals
The Rotary district governor outlined his main priorities to Cambuslang Rotary Club during their meeting last month.
Bill Campbell had a busy few months, working his way around the clubs in district 1230 which stretches from Ayrshire to Oban, and visited Cambuslang on September 28.
Bill highlighted his three main aims for his year as governor: firstyly, the need for clubs to increase their membership.
He wants to highlight the fact that this year celebrates the centenary of the Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s international charity which is working to eradicate polio throughout the world.
And he would like clubs to work to raise the profile of Rotary in their local communities.
Bill finished his talk by presenting club president Bill Crombie with the Rotary International banner for the year 2016/17, with its motto ‘Rotary serving humanity’.
