Super First Division

Irvine Meadow pulled nine points clear of Rutherglen Glencairn in the league table with a convincing 2-0 win at home to Shotts Bon Accord.

The Glens match with Clydebank was called off but The Medda may have done Willie Harvey’s side a favour by ensuring Shotts stayed in the relegation zone for another weekend.

Petershill claimed a shock 1-0 victory at league leaders Shettleston while Maryhill battled back from 2-0 down to claim a point at Renfrew.

Chris Zok and substitute Fraser Barbour seemed to have put Frew on easy street but Beckley’s double in the second half snatched a point for The Hill. All other matches were postponed.

Central District First

Only two games survived the late-night frost as nine-man Benburb held on for a point with Rossvale.

Ryan Metcalfe slid in to score for the Bens before Ryan McCrone stopped a free-kick on the touchline being taken and was red-carded before the break.

Within a minute of the start of the second half, Rossvale were level through Steven Seaton and Benburb’s Steven Greer was shown two yellow cards in three minutes for fouls.

Greenock won 3-2 against Vale of Clyde.
