Invitation to workshop
Residents in Rutherglen and Cambuslang are being asked to consider volunteering for the South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SLHSCP).
A workshop will be held in Rutherglen Town Hall on Tuesday, June 6 between 9.30am and 3.30pm for anyone who might be interested.
The partnership combines the expertise of a host of agencies including NHS Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire Council, the voluntary and independent sector as well as unpaid carers.
The workshop, which is one of four across the region, will be run by Cormac Russell, a world-leading thinker on community-driven change.
Val de Souza, director of health and social care of SLHSCP, is leading on a programme of building and celebrating communities.
She said:“The spirit of partnership working has been long established in South Lanarkshire and there’s an abundance of good work already underway in our communities.”
The event will have three aims: to identify what communities can and are doing best on their own, to identify where communities require help and to identify what communities need SLHSCP and partner agencies to do for them.
Attendance is free and places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. To book a place contact Giuliana Gustinelli on 01698 453700 or email giuliana.gustinelli@southlanarkshire. gcsx.gov.uk.
