Dynamo keep on shining

-

Castlemilk Dynamo finished their qualifying campaign with a 100 per cent record after hammering Rutherglen Rovers 9-0.

All clubs involved in the Sunday Central Amateur Football League were seeded at the start of the season depending on where they finished last year. The sides were placed in a Premiership or Championship group of three or four teams and played each other home and away.

And Castlemilk will once again find themselves at the top table of Sunday amateurs in the west after completing their sixth win of the group on Sunday.

Rutherglen Rovers meanwhile are due to play in the Premier 3 league.

Elsewhere, their neighbours Castlemilk United are also expected to enter the Premier 3 this year after finishing third in their respective group. They ended their qualifying campaign with a 2-0 victory over Glasgow Irish.

Cambuslang Football Academy, who lost 5-2 to Brunswick in their final group game, are expected to play in the Premier 4 this year while new boys Rutherglen Burgh enter the Championship 2 league after they were defeated 7-1 by Weir Recreation.

No fixtures are expected to take place over the September weekend however, the league fixtures are due to start the following Sunday.
