Don’t get caught up with posh labels

-

Now Christmas is over you can hopefully treat yourself to something nice in the January sales!

Unfortunately, some luxury brands never have a sale though e.g. Chanel. They are a high end brand which means they just don’t have to.

However, they are other options, in fact make up has never been so affordable.

The big question is – if it doesn’t have the luxury label does it do the same job? I think so.

A lot of brands come from the same factory so I suppose it boils down to what’s more important to you, the label or the product itself.

As a professional I always want the product and don’t care about the label so long as it delivers.

However, occasionally I am drawn in by the packaging.

I was recently gifted an eye shadow palette by Victoria Beckam for Estee Lauder.

I have similar colours but I fell in love with the black leather case with gold trim. I seem to enjoy taking it out of my bag more than actually using it.

Primark have also launched a make up line which is fantastic.

It’s got everything from skin care, make up, lashes, strobing products, nails and cases. The best part is, the prices start at £1.

Shadow palettes are from £4 and when I tried it I couldn’t believe how good the quality was. Their highlighters, especially, are fab.

This brand allows young girls to experiment with colour without spending a fortune.

You could fill your make up bag with the essentials for half the price of one luxury item.

There are also great products in Top Shop, New Look and Superdrug.

I’m a huge fan of the Real Techniques brushes and recommend them during my lessons.

Happy shopping everyone.
