Newton Farm pitch perfect in new kits

-

Pupils at Rutherglen and Cambuslang’s newest primary school will always look sharp when they take to the field.

Newton Farm Primary only opened in August, but they are already showing great promise on the football pitch.

Their school team recently won its first ever match, and they did so wearing fantastic strips donated by Craig Halliday, director of Halliday Construction.

His daughter, Keeley, is a pupil at the school and he was determined to help out.

The team is run by janitor Scott Jackson, who said:“It’s a primary seven league but we are a very young team.

“We only have one primary seven, the rest are in primary five or six. Two are signed with Rangers and another is going to sign for Celtic. Thanks to Mr Halliday for his generosity.”
