Mail set tode­liver fes­tive jobs

Royal Mail is re­cruit­ing thou­sands of tem­po­rary work­ers to help sort the Christ­mas post and the in­creas­ing amount of on­line fes­tive shop­ping.

Tem­po­rary po­si­tions across a va­ri­ety of shifts will be avail­able from late Oc­to­ber through to early Jan­uary 2019.

Al­most 400 jobs are avail­able work­ing in Glas­gow and the sur­round­ing area, peak­ing in the busiest month of De­cem­ber.

Parcelforce World­wide is also look­ing for driv­ers and in­door work­ers as the whole or­gan­i­sa­tion gears up to de­liver parcels this Christ­mas.

Royal Mail post and parcels chief ex­ec­u­tive, Sue Whal­ley, said: “We plan all year round to en­sure we de­liver the best pos­si­ble ser­vice for UK con­sumers and busi­nesses be­fore, dur­ing and af­ter the fes­tive sea­son.”
