Former Hearts striker Christian Nade broke Camby hearts on Saturday with a devastating display.
The big frontman scored a hat-trick and set up his side’s other goal as Troon inflicted Cambuslang’s first home league defeat of the season.
It was Camby’s second successive loss to an Ayrshire outfit and the win saw the seasiders leapfrog Cambuslang in the table.
Lang were without top goalscorer John Gemmell and had a tough task ahead of them after being reduced to 10 men in the first half.
Nade beat the offside trap and fired Troon ahead in the 22nd minute.
Cambuslang defender Jordan McMillan then received a straight red card afterwards for dissent.
But the home side responded well and Darren Ramsay equalised from the penalty spot five minutes later.
Troon regained the lead just before half-time when Dean Keenan cut the ball back for Nade to net his second.
Cambuslang were pressing forward for an equaliser after the break and were rewarded in the 63rd minute when Callum McRobbie crossed for Chris Duff to tap home.
The visitors were not finished though and once again Nade was at the centre of their play.
The striker cut the ball back to Dean Fulton in the box and he smashed the ball home.
In the 90th minute Nade slipped through the Cambuslang defence to make it 4-2 and seal his hat-trick.
This Saturday, Cambuslang travel to Inverurie for a third round Scottish Cup tie against Colony Park.
The North Region Super League side are coming off the back of a 1-0 home win against Hall Russell United, and are now sitting mid-table.
The following weekend Paul McColl’s men are back in action with a home league tie against Irvine Meadow.
The Ayrshire side are third bottom of the table but are in hot form, having won their last three league matches.
