Ruither­glen MP Tommy McAvoy urged the Chan­cel­lor of the Ex­che­quer this week to give the NHS, ed­u­ca­tion and trans­port a des­per­ately needed in­vest­ment boost.

Speak­ing dur­ing a de­bate in the House of Com­mons on the state of the econ­omy, Mr McAvoy urged Nigel Law­son to in­vest more cash in the coun­try’s in­fra­struc­ture, ar­gu­ing that this would cre­ate jobs.
