Self-help bookfor kidsgoes toschools

- Marc McLean

Schools across South Lanarkshire are set for awesomeness after being delivered a copy of the world’s best ever personal development book for kids.

More than 700 ‘Diary of a Brilliant Kid: Top Secret Guide to Awesomeness’ books have been delivered to schools across Scotland, including a host of schools in South Lanarkshire.

Based on the science of positive psychology, Diary of a Brilliant Kid is an interactive collection of science, stories, theories, top tips, quotes (and occasional mayhem).

Co-authored by Gavin Oattes, Andy Cope and Will Hussey, the book is packaged so that children can learn to take charge of their own wellbeing and includes activity pages allowing ‘tweenagers’ to add their own input and drawings.

Gavin, who is also managing director of Scotland-based company Tree of Knowledge and an international keynote speaker, said: “The book is all about positive psychology for kids, but it has the right balance between being funny, cheeky and informative with all the right messages to help kids navigate life and find their own awesomeness.

“I hope youngsters, their teachers and parents across South Lanarkshire will enjoy it and benefit from it.”

Tree of Knowledge is based in Dunfermline and runs education and corporate courses and workshops around the UK.
