CamGlen Ra­dio Presents… will be fea­tur­ing Cly­de­bank artist Kev How­ell at Ruther­glen’s new­est venue Num­ber 18 this Fri­day, De­cem­ber 7.

Kev How­ell will be play­ing songs from his de­but al­bum‘Haunt­ing Am­bi­tion’and has pre­vi­ously shared the stage with the likes of Red Rum Club, Cana­dian rock­ers The Glo­ri­ous Sons and Bang Bang Romeo, as well as mak­ing his first UK fes­ti­val ap­pear­ances over the sum­mer.

The event, which will be the third one hosted by CamGlen Ra­dio, brings lo­cal and Scot­tish artists to Ruther­glen.

Calum In­gram,‘the cel­list who sings’ from Pais­ley, will also be per­form­ing – a clas­si­cally trained cel­list, who along­side a drum­mer, will bring his own ver­sion of rock and blues to the newly re­fur­bished venue.

He has sup­ported the likes of blues rock leg­end Jack Bruce and also tours reg­u­larly with plat­inum record sell­ing artist Sandi Thom as part of her band.

Armed with a car­bon fibre and ply­wood Cello Calum con­tin­ues to in­spire peo­ple and bring to­gether mu­si­cians of all styles and back­grounds cre­at­ing an ex­cit­ing mu­si­cal soup of sounds.

Some tick­ets are still avail­able on Eventbrite for £6 plus book­ing fee and there will be a lim­ited num­ber avail­able on the night for £8. Doors open at 7.30pm.

This event is strictly over-18s and there will be a li­cenced bar sell­ing al­co­hol and non-al­co­holic bev­er­ages.

Cameron King, ra­dio op­er­a­tions worker for CamGlen Ra­dio, said:“The first two CamGlen Presents we have hosted in Num­ber 18 this year have been fan­tas­tic. We filled Num­ber 18 at the be­gin­ning of last month with mu­sic fans, and we an­tic­i­pate it will be the same in De­cem­ber.

“The events aim to sup­port mu­si­cians and bring the lo­cal com­mu­nity some new, ex­cit­ing live mu­sic straight to their doorstep.”
