CamGlen Radio Presents… will be featuring Clydebank artist Kev Howell at Rutherglen’s newest venue Number 18 this Friday, December 7.

Kev Howell will be playing songs from his debut album‘Haunting Ambition’and has previously shared the stage with the likes of Red Rum Club, Canadian rockers The Glorious Sons and Bang Bang Romeo, as well as making his first UK festival appearance­s over the summer.

The event, which will be the third one hosted by CamGlen Radio, brings local and Scottish artists to Rutherglen.

Calum Ingram,‘the cellist who sings’ from Paisley, will also be performing – a classicall­y trained cellist, who alongside a drummer, will bring his own version of rock and blues to the newly refurbishe­d venue.

He has supported the likes of blues rock legend Jack Bruce and also tours regularly with platinum record selling artist Sandi Thom as part of her band.

Armed with a carbon fibre and plywood Cello Calum continues to inspire people and bring together musicians of all styles and background­s creating an exciting musical soup of sounds.

Some tickets are still available on Eventbrite for £6 plus booking fee and there will be a limited number available on the night for £8. Doors open at 7.30pm.

This event is strictly over-18s and there will be a licenced bar selling alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages.

Cameron King, radio operations worker for CamGlen Radio, said:“The first two CamGlen Presents we have hosted in Number 18 this year have been fantastic. We filled Number 18 at the beginning of last month with music fans, and we anticipate it will be the same in December.

“The events aim to support musicians and bring the local community some new, exciting live music straight to their doorstep.”
