Quality shines through forstaff
Health workers across Lanarkshire have celebrated success in improving quality and safety for patients and staff.
A quality week was held at the end of November, and a celebration event was attended by approximately 150 NHS Lanarkshire employees.
The event focused on 10 years of the Scottish patient safety programme, realistic medicine, reducing waste in healthcare and joy in work.
Marjorie McGinty, interim director of quality, said: “Quality week was a great success.
“It provided an opportunity for staff to share and learn from each other with short quality improvement sessions on a variety of topics carried out across hospital and community settings for both health and social care staff.
“There were also a range of learning sessions held throughout the week on NHS Lanarkshire’s quality strategy.
“Feedback from staff has been positive, with staff appreciating the opportunity to share their improvement work, learn from each other and build their networks to continuously improve the quality and safety of health and social care for people.”
