A trip down memory lane
Former school-mates took a long walk down memory lane last week with this 50-year-old picture.
The photo is of the Burnside Primary 1B class of 1968-69, which belongs to Colin Mackie.
The ex-Rutherglen man, who now lives in Cardross, uploaded the photo to the popular local history Facebook page‘Auld Rutherglen’.
Colin could only remember the names of 30 of his 34 classmates, along with their teacher Mrs Davis.
However, Ken Russell helped fill in the blanks by putting names to all the faces.
Alan Williamson, who now lives in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, wrote: “Wow – that makes me feel old indeed!”
Helen Carmichael Hanna commented:“That picture brought a lot of memories. I often wonder about people what they are up to these days.”
