Good to get close to clients

A Rutherglen professional has a growing portfolio of clients.

Gwen Blair, who has been a qualified chartered accountant for 16 years, founded her company Lamont Blair in 2012.

Having previously worked for two medium-sized practices in Glasgow, scaling the career heights to become assistant director of tax, Gwen found that her senior management role was taking her away from the aspects of the job she loved most: day-to-day, hands-on client work.

That gave her the prompt she needed to take control of her own destiny and launch her own business, dealing in all areas of accountancy and tax compliance, coupled with some tax consultancy.

“When I started on my own I started with lots of contacts but no clients,”admitted Gwen, who is based in Rutherglen’s Berwick Drive.
