Fes­tive cheerat Stonelaw thisweek

Lo­cals are be­ing of­fered the chance to get into the fes­tive spirit this week, as Stonelaw High’s par­ent coun­cil have or­gan­ised a Christ­mas event that the whole com­mu­nity is wel­come to at­tend.

First up is a Christ­mas Mar­ket on Thurs­day start­ing at 3pm in the assem­bly hall and can­teen.

There will be 40 stall hold­ers at­tend­ing and there will be a large se­lec­tion of hand­made crafts, home bak­ing, can­dles, jew­ellery and glass gifts and many more.

There will also be the op­por­tu­nity to hear the school band and choir dur­ing the event and have tea, cof­fee and a cake.

Stonelaw’s par­ent coun­cil is also run­ning a Christ­mas raf­fle and will be sell­ing tick­ets on that evening, with the prizes be­ing £500 cash for first place and £300 cash for sec­ond place, with lots of other great prizes on of­fer.

The aim of both th­ese events is to raise ad­di­tional money to sup­port all of the young peo­ple who at­tend Stonelaw, while the raf­fle will be drawn at the an­nual Christ­mas con­cert on De­cem­ber 19.
