A series of healthy walks will resume in January.

Health Walks are a fun and easy way to get more active, and community group Fernbrae Meadows hold free dementia-friendly walks every month.

They are led by Paths for All-trained local volunteers, and everyone is welcome to go along and walk at a pace that suits them.

The group meet at 9.30am every Tuesday outside Fernhill and Cathkin Church, on the corner of Fernhill Road and Neilvaig Drive.

The walk will last from 30 minutes to one hour approximately and ends back at the church where there is a lovely tea room selling hot drinks, cakes and rolls. There is no need to book but please wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather, as they will walk hail, rain or shine.

Contact Karen at 07561 007615 for more information or email karen[email protected] communitylinkssl.co.uk, and the next walk will take place on January 8.
